Your Catalant profile is your opportunity to make a great first impression on prospective clients. One of the most common questions Experts ask is, "What does a good Expert profile look like?"
To get started, here are some general best practices to follow:
- It must be thorough. Demonstrate your intent to win work on the platform by being thorough in your profile. You should treat your profile like a resume. Include your work experience, relevant actions and outcomes of your most influential work experiences, and use terminology that is specific to your industry or area of focus.
-
Be specific. Make sure your work experience, education, and capabilities are clear, complete, and include detailed descriptions, such as specific projects or initiatives that you led or contributed to.
- Highlight your core strengths and competencies. Being “a mile wide and an inch deep” isn’t what clients are looking for on Catalant. The most successful Experts on the platform use their profiles to demonstrate that they’ve been there before – they’ve actually done the type of work that clients are looking for, either as a former consultant or as an in-house operator. As such, it’s a benefit to you to highlight the things that you are truly an expert on in your profile (and additionally, when you are ready, in your pitch on a project).
After you’ve comprehensively completed the basic profile information, such as your work experience, education, and capabilities, review a Model of a Great Expert Profile for some tips to help you create a profile that stands out to give you the best chance of winning projects.
